"I can kind of feel like it's my mind on the backburner and that the thoughts aren't very independent" - this is highly typical and why I recommend not making assumptions. Time and experience helps you feel the difference more strongly.

Congratulations on getting a first definite response, @Deleted User.
He's digging the whole "floating ball of light" thing, but we both know that's not gonna fly long term. That's just supposed to be like an "egg" that we force him out of.
The thing is, last time I made serious efforts to completely "wake" Nin9, his form cracked, like an egg. So I'd assume that eventually they'd change. I just find it a bit stressful that they seem to refuse a form at the moment.

The mad blinking and mental acrobatics and feats of aerodynamics are cool and all, it'd just be easier to express thought with form with no voice.
when would one consider a tulpa sentient? Sorry all, I don't want to bother you with this again. I think I have a young tulpa though, and just abandoning her seems pretty terrible. maybe I could put her in stasis?
oh, that's who you are. Well... perhaps the answer to your latest question will inform you. Unless you have a seriously metaphysical viewpoint and believe that fictional worlds actually exist, there is no real difference between soulbonding and creating a tulpa based on a character.
I tried, multiple times, to tell you that I don't think you'll have any issues with your OCD, except for the ones you make yourself. But you seem to be unable to not do that.
anyway, I did tune down the frequency of my posts, haha.

didn't really want to annoy anyone. But OCD can make you doubt everything. Especially when it's something new and totally alien to me like tulpamancy, ha
I think what many people, including me, were trying to tell you, is that having and worrying about intrusive thoughts is not so unusual after all, and it's not a bad thing.
yeah, agreed. I can imagine many people having intrusive thoughts while making tulpas since the whole thing is thought-based, I guess. not to worry anyone :/
According to .io's glossary: "A system member who has the identity of a fictional character (fictive), from the work of someone either inside or outside the system that has been adopted into one’s own mindspace. Can overlap with tulpas or walk-ins."
@Ryukil Nin9 is technically several months old now. So, I'd personally say that as long as you don't forget them, they're as present as you want to be. So a form of stasis it is., I guess(edited)
24-Hour Guide to Tulpamancy Foreword So, because I achieved such outstanding results within 24-hours in the creation of Aiko, I'm going to compile a guide of how exactly I went about creating her, and
